I was given the name of Andy by a trusted local realtor who advised they had a client who used him for a small job, but had no other information other than they were pleased with his work.  I contacted Andy via telephone and immediately could tell he knew his trade and was very experienced and knowledgeable.  I requested from Andy three references of past clients since there wasn't much on the internet I could find.  After contacting all three who all agreed he did great work, I met with Andy in person to go over the scope of my project which was restoring a house built in the 60's that was in need of a lot of work (all new plumbing, electrical, flooring, paint, windows, complete kitchen and bathroom restoration, land work, etc).  Andy made me feel comfortable trusting him with the work especially since I lived over 2 hours from the project and could not easily check-in on the process.  I also really appreciated that Andy broke down the scope of the project in an itemized agreement and, when requested, added items that were fairly priced separately.

If you're looking for renovations in the Asheville area, I highly recommend Andy. Andy came out to my property to help me decide on a shed for my backyard. I was considering a premade shed from Lowes that would need delivery and assembly, but after we talked, it made more sense to have him custom-build something to fit my needs for roughly the same cost. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. In addition to the shed build, his team painted my six-foot privacy fence, four-foot hog panel fence, and deck, installing a chimney cap and weather stripping on my front door. He did a very professional job all around. We had to postpone a few days because of the weather, and communication about the schedule and materials was spot on.
